I’m Vasilis Christopoulos. I live in Athens where I develop the features of the future.

Since I was young, I knew how to type and use a computer. I was able to write my name on the keyboard since I was 2 years old. The mistery of the source code befind the applications was always fascinating to me trying to view the source by right clicking on the applications and opening it with a text editor. (Of course that was not possible, but I was trying anyway).

When I started my higher level education in programming (since I knew what I wanted to do from a young age), I was introdused to the Linux operating system and the open source community. I was amazed by the fact that people were contributing to the community by developing software and sharing it with the world for free. A new world opened up before me with endless configurations and different approaches on desktops. That was when I decided to daily drive GNU/Linux and since then I have never looked back.

I understand the importance of the other operating systems and I have worked with them as well. I have worked with Windows and MacOS and I have developed applications for both of them, but in the end of the day I always come back to my beloved Linux.

I work full time as a front-end shoftware engineer and I enjoy every moment of it. I have worked with many technologies and I have developed many applications with different use cases. I have worked with React, Angular, Gatby, Next.js and many more. I have also worked with Node.js and have developed back-end applications with Express.js.

In my free time I enjoy working on my personal projects, tweaking with my desktop and my terminal, reading books, playing games, watching movies and anime as well as riding my fixed gear bike.
